The Zarduino-40 system board is designed for use with several DIP-40 AVR processors (with or without the Arduino bootloader) as well as those used by ZBasic. This system board allows for interfacing with the multitude of available Arduino shields via the system bus along the perimeter.
The system bus is designed for interfacing with our Zarduino shields but is largely pin compatible with Arduino with the exception of the 10-pin bus added at the end of the board and two pins at top left.
The Zarduino-40 system board was designed to run our roZetta firmware and interface with shields of our own design which support that Home Automation application.
Since some ZBasic chips need an external EEPROM for program storage, there is a 64KB SPI EEPROM onboard. Both JTAG and ISP interfaces are provided for those who might want to program the AVR chips directly.
