The Zarduino-24+ system board is designed for the Arduino Stamp 02, Arduino Mini 03, Arduino Mini 04 Arduino Pro Mini and the Arduino Nano. Because the pinouts on the Arduino modules are substantially different from that of other BS2-like modules, only half of the pins are routed to the system bus, leaving it to users to route the other pins depending on their specific module and on any shields used in the system. The system board includes a MAX3232 RS232 transceiver IC (not needed for Nano). This system board allows for interfacing with the multitude of available Arduino shields via the system buses along the perimeter.
The system buses are designed for interfacing with our Zarduino shields but are largely pin compatible with Arduino with the exception of the 10-pin bus added at the end of the board and 2 pins at top left to allow our shields to interface with the additional pins on our Zarduino System Boards.
We are planning carrier boards for 8, 14, 18 & 20 pin PICs (and PICAXE) that will plug-in to the socket on this system board.
